Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ApplyOS at applyoshq.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). ApplyOS is a product of Villhora LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including those who access the Service without an account and those who subscribe to a paid plan.

2. The Service

ApplyOS provides an AI-powered job search assistant that helps users discover job listings, score job-to-resume fit, generate tailored resumes, write cover letters, and prepare for interviews.

The Service is a tool to assist your job search. We do not guarantee employment outcomes, interview results, or application success. The quality of outputs depends on the quality of information you provide (resume, profile, target roles).

3. Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@applyoshq.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3.3 One Account Per Person

Each account is for a single individual's job search. You may not use ApplyOS to manage job searches for multiple other people under a single account without explicit written permission from us.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

4.1 Free Tier

The free (Trial) plan is available at no charge with limited usage. We may change the features or limits of the free tier at any time with reasonable notice.

4.2 Paid Plans

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

4.3 Free Trial

New paid plan subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. You may cancel before the trial ends to avoid any charge.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal (Settings → "Manage subscription"). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access through the end of the paid period.

4.5 Refunds

We do not provide refunds for partial months or unused credits, except where required by applicable law or at our sole discretion.

4.6 Plan Changes

Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

4.7 Payment Failures

If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you by email. If payment is not resolved within a reasonable grace period, your account will be downgraded to the free tier.

4.8 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice by email or in-app notification. Price changes take effect at your next renewal.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Upload or transmit false, misleading, or fraudulent resume information
  • Attempt to bypass, defeat, or circumvent subscription limits or paywalls
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to interact with the Service
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercialize the Service without our written consent
  • Use the Service to build a competing product
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure or other users' access
  • Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, discriminatory, or harassing
  • Attempt to access another user's data or account

6. AI-Generated Content

6.1 Our AI Tools

ApplyOS uses large language models (Anthropic) to generate tailored resumes, cover letters, and interview prep content. This content is generated algorithmically based on your inputs.

6.2 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before using it in any job application. You must ensure that all information in AI-generated resumes is accurate and truthful, and that application materials accurately represent your background. We are not liable for any consequences arising from false, inaccurate, or misleading AI-generated content that you submit to employers.

6.3 No Guarantee of Quality

AI outputs may contain errors, hallucinations, or irrelevant content. Always review outputs critically before use.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Your Content

You own your resume, career profile, and any other content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process it for the purpose of providing the Service.

7.2 Our Content

ApplyOS and the Villhora name, branding, design, software, and documentation are owned by Villhora LLC or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

7.3 AI Outputs

AI-generated content (tailored resumes, cover letters, etc.) produced from your inputs is yours to use. We claim no ownership over outputs generated from your personal data.

8. Job Data

Job listings displayed in ApplyOS are sourced from third-party providers. We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or completeness of job listings. Postings may be outdated or no longer active by the time you view them. Always verify directly with the employer before applying.

We are not a staffing agency, recruiter, or employment agency. We have no relationship with the employers whose jobs appear in the feed.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

We are not responsible for job search outcomes, interviews, hiring decisions, or employment.

In no event shall ApplyOS be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim or (b) $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability — in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ApplyOS and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third party's rights; or (d) content you submit through the Service.

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it in Settings or contacting support@applyoshq.com.

11.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, with or without notice. In cases of fraud, abuse, or illegal activity, termination is immediate.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your access to the Service ends. Data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy's retention schedule. Outstanding subscription charges for the current period are non-refundable.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. For any dispute under $10,000, either party may elect binding arbitration administered by a recognized arbitration service.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
